How to Obtain Nonresident Deer Hunting Licenses:
Nonresident deer hunting licenses are issued by zone (Bluff Bottom Outfitters is Zone 6) for the shotgun 1, shotgun 2, bow, late muzzleloader and disabled hunter seasons. The application period is in May. Applications for the 2006 season will be available by Apr 1, 2006. Applications may be obtained from the DNR by calling 515-281-5918 anytime during the year or by downloading from the Wildlife Bureau's website in April.

surrounded by tall bluffs on the west side with abundant acorn mast with the Iowa River on the east border

located within an hour drive of where the famous Iowa Walking Record buck was harvested by 15 year old Tony Luvensten which scored well over 300 inches and surpassed the Beatty buck from Ohio, that scored 304 6/8 inches!
located within a 45 minute drive from where another well known giant fell to archer Sam Callora. This impressive monster scores over 200 typical inches and was shot with a bow. It just nearly misses the world record typical harvested by Milo Hanson in Saskatchewan.

What We Offer

Our deer and turkey hunts are priced towards the "do it yourself kind of hunter." I don't have an overpaid cook to fix meals for you. I do not have an extravagant oversized lodge or thousands upon thousands of acres to try to cover in order to find your trophy. I do have awesome, proven food plots that are not offered anywhere else for miles. I've done the research for you by testing several different varieties of seed blends. I have customized my plots to the deer herds needs as well as the turkeys in the area. Convenient, cozy, comfortable logding that can accommodate one or several hunters is available only a few minutes away.

The home work is already done for you. I have strategically placed a variety of treestands in very ideal locations to allow you a great opportunity to get the trophy you have always wanted so book your next hunt with us today
